Assessment-First Coaching

Training built on how your body actually works.

I coach busy adults who have trained before -- people whose results stalled or whose bodies started pushing back. We start with a real assessment, clear what's in the way, and build strength on top of it. It takes a few focused hours a week, and it flexes down to twenty minutes when life gets tight.

What's different

  • The plan fits your life, not the other way around

Most coaching hands you the coach's system and asks your life to make room for it. That's backwards, and it's why most programs die by week six. I build from your schedule, your equipment, and your history. The surfer, the postpartum mom rebuilding to heavy lifting, and the long-time bodybuilder don't get the same program, because they don't live the same life.

  • Subtract before you add

When training stops working, the answer is almost never more -- more volume, more intensity, this GLP-1, that peptide. Usually something is in the way: an old injury you've been training around, a movement problem, a recovery debt. We clear that first. Durability before intensity, then strength on a body that's ready for it.

  • Four pillars, one system

Purpose, sleep, nutrition, movement. They're not four separate projects -- they hold each other up. Short sleep makes eating harder, poor fuel flattens training, and without a reason that matters the first bad week takes the whole thing down. So we don't fix all four at once. We find the one that's most broken and start there.

  • Coaching that ends

This isn't a subscription designed to keep you dependent. We work in twelve-week blocks, and the goal of every block is a practice you can run without me. Supposedly that's bad business. It's good coaching, and it's why most of my clients come from other clients.

Ten minutes. What you want out of your training, your schedule, your injuries, what you can actually do. What comes back is a simple analysis of where you're starting and the shape of the program your answers point to -- where the focus goes, what gets protected, what a smart program would prioritize for your body. It's the first part of the assessment every client starts with.
